"Recognise reviewing or it risks becoming shoddy"
12 July 2012
The VoYS guide, Peer review: The nuts and bolts is being launched today at the European Science Open Forum (ESOF) in Dublin. It was produced with the help of over 40 early career researchers, editors, journalists and grant body representatives, to help early career researchers understand how the peer review process works, some of the limitations of peer review and the role of peer review in society.
A group of early career researchers from the Voice of Young Science (VoYS) network have today sent an open letter to Sir Alan Langlands – Chief Executive, Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) – calling for recognition of the contribution of high quality reviewing activity in the UK Research Excellence Framework (REF).
More details on the guide and the letter on the VoYS recognise reviewing page.
