Projects

We monitor public debates, enquiries, science stories in the news, new science legislation and consultations. If we see an issue regularly coming up and we are constantly fire-fighting, or if there are underlying assumptions that would be useful to the discussion, we address these through collaborative projects or responses to specific misconceptions.

When there is a significant gap between the way that scientists and specialists understand a subject and how it appears to the public, we set up a working group to write a 'Making Sense of…' document. Or we address some specific points in one of our short two-page "Sense About ..." guides.
