The planned direct action against the GM wheat experiment at Rothamsted did not happen on Sunday 27th May. The GM wheat trial is ongoing.

Rothamsted's open letter is an excellent initiative in opening up the discussion of gm with its critics rather than hiding behind a wall of silence and the assumption that scientists always know best and their critics are irrational or unscientific. I hope the critics respond and engage in serious discussion as I have always tried to do with the opponents of animal experimentation
