Put the Luddites back in their box. If they even understood the purpose or risks of these trial I might be tempted to listen, but they're just destructive yobs.

The actions by "Take the flour back" are unreasoning and unreasonable. The proposed destruction of research is not legitimate protest but vandalism and individuals who take part should be open to prosecution and civil damages.

Research which offers the potential to reduce dependence on agrochemicals must surely be a step in the right direction.

Scientific research is what has allowed most people in modern society to crawl out of the dirt and live healthy happy lives. If you're afraid of GM foods and/or want labeling, I can understand that, but destroying knowledge or blocking attempts to get knowledge is never the answer. The systematic destruction of knowledge is what caused the Dark Ages. Please don't do this.
