I used to live very near Rothamsted Research and I always found them to be a very ethical organisation, interested in being open and participating in the local community. They did this through things like inviting local schools and the public to events and open days. To damage the important research that goes on there seems non-sensical.

How can you assess the safety of anything if you don't research it? Destroying research is encouraging ignorance.
