The planned direct action against the GM wheat experiment at Rothamsted did not happen on Sunday 27th May. The GM wheat trial is ongoing.

Biotechnological research has no meaning and application if there are restrictions on field trials. Developing countries need such improved varieties to supplement their growing nutritional needs. Hence trials conducted by scientists towards this end are essential. They should not be restricted.
