2013 Celebrities and Science Review

We have not produced a Celebrities and Science review of 2013. No round up of celebrities’ misleading claims and none of the usual effort by scientists to work out the underlying misconception that gave rise to them.

This is because of some positive changes. At Sense About Science we like change. We've noticed charities briefing their celebrity champions, more people responding to celebrity claims on social and more celebrities getting advice before they speak out. Why wait for an annual review when you can respond in real time?

Instead, we have gathered the lessons we learnt and looked back at some of the claims scientists responded to over the last seven years.
